Te Anau
I am going to write about Milford Sound. I booked accommodation in Te Anau because it took for a long time to go there from Queenstown by bus even though bus.
I stayed this accommodation. It looked good and I felt comfortable because of beds and facility. There were a king bed and double bed wtih queen and single. Moreover, there was a bathroom.
Milford Sound on the way
I arrived at Milford Sound after driving for 2 hours. I recommend driving it speeds a little.
I parked in parking area which I needed paying $40 after arriving the harbor. It was a little expensive.
I booked and purchaced online so I received a ticket at the reception before I rode on the ferry.
It was sunny and I felt comfortable because the view was so beautiful and it was good wind. In addition, I watched falls and gorgeous forest near capes.
The clue staff made time to take photos near falls. I saw two points which falls were so magnificent.
Milford Sound attention
The clusing was finished after going around. The wether was most important because amount of water were a little.
The wether kept sunny for a week so that amount of water were less than videos. It was sunny when I was in Milford Sound.
If you want to enjoy Milford Sound, you should check the wether and choose sunny date. Therefore, you will not be disapointed like me. See you later.

今回はMilford Soundに行ってきたのでそのことについて書いていこうと思います。今回は車中泊じゃなくTe Anauという場所に宿を取りました。車でQueenstownから出発すると時間がかかりますし、バスでもかなり時間がかかるので。
今回宿泊した場所はここになります。見た目は良いですし、ベッドや設備もよいのでかなり快適に過ごせました。ここにはキングベッドが一つ、2段ベッドでクイーンとシングルのセットでした。バスルームは1つですね。
Milford Sound 道中
ここから大体車で2時間ほど走らせるとMilford Soundに着きます。道中は少し危ないので速度を抑えつつ運転するのをお勧めします。
港に着いたら車をパーキングエリアに停めて向かいます。パーキングエリアは有料しかないので大体$40くらい支払う必要があります。他のとこよりも少し高めですね。
私はすでにオンラインで予約して決済も済ませていたので受付でチケットをもらうだけでした。チケットをもらったら所定の船に向かって乗船するだけですね。
行きの方向では晴れていました。とても綺麗で風も出ていたので心地よかったです。各岬の崖や周りの森も神秘的でたまに見えた滝もよかったですね。
滝がある場所では船が少しの間止まって写真を撮るタイミングを作ってくれました。私の場合は2か所くらいですね。高い場所から落ちてくる滝を見るのはとても壮大でした。
Milford Sound 注意点
一通りぐるっと周って帰ってきて終わりですね。ここからが私の注意点になりますが、一番は天気が重要になります。旅行をするうえで天気は重要ですが、ここはかなり大事ですね。というのも私が行ったときは水量がかなり少なかったのです。
天気としては1週間くらいずっと晴れが続いている状況でした。なので水が蒸発して動画などで見る水量よりもかなり少ない状況でした。Milford Soundは7割以上が雨になるらしいですが私の時は腫れでしたし。
というわけでもしMilford Soundをたっぷり楽しみたい場合は、事前に雨がしっかり降っている状況でその日は比較的晴れている日を選ぶのが一番賢いのだと思います。行く前はしっかり調べておくと私のようにがっかりすることはなくなるかと思います。ではでは。

Te Anau
This time, I’m going to write about my trip to Milford Sound. Instead of sleeping in my car, I booked accommodation in Te Anau, because getting to Milford Sound from Queenstown takes quite a long time, whether by car or by bus.
The place I stayed at was very comfortable. It looked nice, and both the beds and the facilities were good. There was one king bed, as well as a bunk bed with a queen-sized bed and a single bed. There was also one bathroom.
The drive to Milford Sound
From Te Anau, it takes about two hours by car to reach Milford Sound. Some parts of the road can be a little dangerous, so I recommend driving carefully and keeping your speed down.
After arriving at the harbour, I parked in a paid parking area and walked to the terminal. There did not seem to be any free parking nearby, so I had to pay about $40, which felt a little expensive compared with other places.
I had already booked and paid online, so all I had to do was pick up my ticket at reception. After that, I simply went to the designated boat and boarded it.
On the way out, the weather was sunny. The scenery was beautiful, and there was a pleasant breeze, so it felt very comfortable. The cliffs, surrounding forests, and occasional waterfalls created a mysterious and impressive atmosphere.
When the boat approached the waterfalls, the crew stopped for a short time so that passengers could take photos. This happened at about two spots. Seeing waterfalls drop from such a great height was truly spectacular.
Things to keep in mind about Milford Sound
After the boat made a loop around the sound, the cruise came to an end. From my experience, the most important thing to consider when visiting Milford Sound is the weather. Of course, weather matters whenever you travel, but I think it is especially important here. When I visited, the amount of water was much lower than I had expected.
It had been sunny for about a week, so there was far less water than I had seen in videos. I have heard that Milford Sound is rainy more than 70 percent of the time, but when I went, the weather was clear.
So, if you want to fully enjoy Milford Sound, I think the best option is to visit on a relatively sunny day after there has been plenty of rain. If you check the conditions carefully before going, you will be less likely to feel disappointed like I did. See you next time.
